Maternity Session- Truckee River

Photographing Becca and Zakkary has become such a special part of my journey as a photographer. This is the third time I’ve had the honor of documenting a maternity session for their growing family, and somehow, each time just gets sweeter.

This session took place along the beautiful Truckee River. It has quickly become one of my favorite spots for its dreamy light, flowing water, and peaceful energy. I love that I can pitch a new location idea to the Thomases and they’re always down for the adventure. That kind of trust means the world to me, and it’s what makes sessions like this so effortless and full of heart.

It feels so sacred to capture the quiet moments before a family welcomes a new life. The laughter, the cuddles, the way they look at each other—it’s all a reminder of what really matters. I’m endlessly grateful to Becca and Zakkary for continuing to trust me with these memories.
